NO AGE

I saw No Age play on Friday night. Titus Andronicus opened, and exceeded all expectaions. There record is good, but the live show was above and beyond; full of energy and intensity. No Age took the stage and proceeded to lay waste to the 40 Watt for a good hour or so. They played a great deal of songs from "Nouns" as well and choice bits off of their early E.P.s. After the show, I worked up the balls to have a conversation with Dean Spunt and Randy Randall (the two responsible for my epic evening of enjoyment). Not only were they exceedingly cool to talk to, they also signed the seven inch that I had bought. All in all, this was the type of show that elevates a band from being something you listen to and enjoy to being your favorite band. If ever you have a chance, see No Age, buy their records, and research the bands and the venue that they're associated with (The Smell). A lot of awesome shit is coming out of LA, with No Age at the forefront, being most visible. Other great acts coming out of The Smell are Mika Miko and Abe Vigoda. In short, you should be all over this stuff.

Unfortunately, I have no pictures or video, so use your imagination.

For free, no less. We can be friends. We can throw dinner parties. We can trade records. Platonic sleepover, anyone?
